A good understanding of International Protocol, Diplomacy, and Business Etiquette is essential as global business or diplomatic relationships are not always easy to establish or maintain. In addition to the usual issues with language and nonverbal communication, cultural differences in rules of proper behavior can create barriers to successful interactions with people of cultures.During international encounters, knowing the correct thing to do or say in business, diplomatic and social situations is preferable to attempting to correct social blunders after they have been made. With the increased globalisation of business and global agreements amongst nations, such encounters are becoming more frequent.
